Mine, in Terre Haute city water was a whopping 348parts. OMG. Hubby isn't laughing anymore when I say that I don't drink it and my fish don't swim in it!

I live in Indy and use Indianapolis city water. The TDS is usually around 450, but I have seen it as high as 600. It's amazing that my small RO/DI has an output of 0 TDS...

Indy water has an enormous amount of chloramine in it, so if you are using a standard "DI" filter this will be spent very fast. I highly recommend running an ammonia removal cartridge to compensate for this right after the membrane, and then into your regular DI.

Hmmm....how would I (OK, so Coop) do such a thing? Sounds like a good suggestion, and I'm all about making these $50 refills last as long as they can....

With my new airwaterice.com Typhoon (orig) I'm now running 0TDS. Whoo-hoo! For $150 I got a system that filled a 5 gallon bucket while we went to walmart down in south TH.

I work for a Industrial water treatment company and I have a lot of customers in Terre Haute. And I must say that Terre Haute has the worst water in Indiana, By FAR. The well's in Terre Haute are 750+ TDS. So, the city takes there water from the wells along with return treated water. Very high in Calcium and Alkalinity.
