Just wanted to stop in and say hello! I'm in the process of relocating to Pittsburgh from the Atlanta area. I'm currently a member of the Atlanta Reef Club and will try to make it to the next meeting to join the club. Is this the forum that is used the most by the club members? I'm currently living in temp. housing while my house sells in G.A. and my system is still there. So what LFS's can I check out to get a fix. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and I'll look forward to the next club meeting.

Nomad37,

Welcome! Yes, this is forum mainly used by the club. StevenPro will probably post the next meeting on here, if not, you can visit www.pmas.org and check often, sometimes it's not updated until later in the month. Usually meetings are the last Saturday of each month, with the exception of this month, due to a road trip some of the members are taking.

Some good stores......some of my personal favorites are in Monroeville (which is where most meetings are held as well): Elmers Aquarium, Pet Supplies Plus, and you can visit Petland while there, but not always the best one....

Also off the turnpike (Butler exit) is the Seahorse, a bit pricey, but some really nice stuff. WetPets is another good one, in Cannonsburg, and some not far from there, are Animal Crackers and another Pet Supplies Plus, but I haven't visited those two.

There's a lot of buzz about a newer store around here on rt 65, but I haven't visited that one yet, myself, maybe this weekend!

And in Moon twp. West Hills Pet Center is nice for fish, but last I visited, the corals were pricey, and didn't look too healthy.

Good Luck, and hope to see you at the next meeting......we only recently joined in February, and have met a ton of great people, and had a lot of fun thus far!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I cant wait till the next meeting comes around. Right now I'm living in the Allegheny Center. My house in Georgia should close sometime in August or September 1 at the latest. I'm not sure where I'll end up, but probably in south Butler or Westmoreland County. Any imput would be appreciated. I did stop in at Seahorse the other day and liked what I saw. The pricing was in line with the Atlanta stores. I prefer to swap or but from club members when ever possible. I will be parting with all or most of my livestock in G.A. so when I get set up I will be starting from scratch. Anyway, thanks again for the welcome and will look forward to the next meeting.

Thanks

Yea, don't put it past some of these crazy schmoes. Now me, I would never drive 6 hours to go to some dum frag swap. Or would I....?
