if its an apstaisia, a peppermint shrimp may eat it, some will some wont, i've always had good luck with them, if its something else im nto sure.

sounds like apstaisia to me too. Some kalk paste should take care of it.

I think that you will find alot of things that aren't really identifiable. Short of bad water chemistry or chemical warefare among tank mates there is not much that can bother zoos. I would make sure that it is not aptasia - otherwise I would just watch it. It it makes you to nervous get rid of it.

I can't agree with schiller. Apstasia is a PITA and spreads fast, the sooner you deal with it the better.

The way I look at it, if it resembles apstaisia, it's not worth having anyway is it? Does anyone find it attractive? I sure don't. Not worth the risk to me.

Orange tube, white fingers....could the fingers actually be clear? Could it look like this?

(not my picture so I didn't want to paste it)
I think it may be a hidden cup coral or Phyllangia americana not aptaisia. Look at different pictures of aptaisia and see if yours looks like it just to be sure.
