Who would be interested in some Larry Jackson at the frag swap. I'm not looking to trade too much, as I may not be going home after it. I don't really want to leave with anything either. I'm thinking like 8-12 for a small frage and 20 or so for some medium-large.

Let me know.

Fourseahorsemen

Collin,
very nice, is that in your tank?
Larry J. had the original and that is why they call frags from that colony L arry J. I think it is similar species to Steve Tyree's Purple monster. Both grow fast and have a nice purple color. Hate to say it but I have paid more than $40 retail for a 1" frag. That's the nice thing about the club, you can get diversity with trades.

Then you would have the only one I know of out there that does this. I met Larry Jackson and saw all of his strands of (LJ) acros, and none of them have yellow tips on them. If you can email me a picture I would like to send it to him and have him id it for us. myreef@techie.com if in fact it is, i would love to buy a piece from you, I am always looking for LJ's they are my favorite piece to collect.

Well since the strand of Larry Jackson was named after Larry Jackson himself, I believe that if Shawn had a Larry Jackson it would have to look the same as the ones named after Larry Jackson since there is only one true Larry Jackson which is Purple w/Green Polyps on it Below is a picture of LJ at its greatest color. Larry Jackson is about as well known as Steven Tyree, How does Steven aquire such wonderful corals, He is great friends with the right people, if you find something and nobody else has it, typically in the coral world its named after you, if it is worth naming. In the world of corals you want stuff that is limited, you have to buy from them, it’s like owning an Andy Warhol.

http://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/24086/normal_LarryJackson.jpg

Collins piece looks like they just haven’t colored up all the way I believe he told me he was using 10k or less. So they wouldn’t hold there color as much as with 20k bulbs, I know his is because Larry sent it to him :D .

I would love to have a piece of your Acro Shawn, I bet it looks beautiful. Please bring a piece to the swap for me, I will take a piece of it from you, if you wouldn’t mind bringing it for me.

Please don’t think I am in any way trying to start anything with anyone, I just have a great knowledge of LJ as it is my favorite coral, and he is a great guy to talk with.

Chris,
I alternate 400w 20k Radium and 400w 10k Usio. Since I have 2 of each then the color of the light is not truley symetrical, and I like it with the 20k on the end, but it blends pretty well I guess.

Justgettin, what a cool blend of green, purple and blue. If you frag that for shawn, I'll take one. I would like to trade before I buy or sell, but if you don't see something of mine for you then I will buy one.

I am most intersted in adding branhing type SPS, staghorn for example.

ahhh.....the hard to find white acro..very rare indeed..reeftechie here is a link to what that coral first looked like when it was bought from premiumaquatics. I pimped it hard on rc and a everyone said that the coral colony would not maintain that color. (one of them was in charge of ora frags) he told me the coral would lose the white and gold look and darken up. It def. did a 180 but it is still a sharp coral.
