I built a remora pro clone. But considering my time, I would have been better to guy one from the "used dry good for sale" forum.

I've got 6' of 3" clear acrylic pipe on order that should be here on thurs (6/17), figuring I'll only need 2' for the skimmer, actually 4' after I screw up the first one.... If you have the time to wait let me see what kind of real damage I can do.

Try this.... It is very easy and it only cost me about $25 to make minus the pump. Works great and was very easy to build....

I ended up borrowing from a lot of different idea's and built one using a bit from each. 3"x16" tall main chamber, then to 1.5" tube to the collection cup. Made a venturi from using a heat gun and 3/4" PVC straight pipe, differences being I feed about 6-7" above the water level of the sump using a MJ1200. Gets a great bubble storm with a lot of hangtime. With a very light bio load it's pulling quite a bit of gunk, only thing with it feeding so high it has to be primed to start, but it holds prime and it's working great!
