Just got back from a coral run. One of the things I got was a scallop. It is so funny watching it scoot across the tank. He was only $8 in case anyone wants to get one.

Was able to get flouresant green trumpet also. Those have gotten hard to find since they are not collectable anymore, heavy price tag on it too. Did pretty good though, only spent $145 tonight, and a third of it was that trumpet, and left with about 8 bags.

Blue Legs ate your scallop? My scallop is quite large.

Wooglin has a scallop that has done well for ~7 months. They need to be fed. With the introduction of all the filter feeding foods people have started to keep them successfully.

I was told their main diet does consist of Marine Snow type products.

They remind me of those clattering teeth from the 70's. Showing my age. LOL

I would also use some DT's for feeding the scallop along with some zooplankton

Thanks Joe.

Sent you the info SexiShrimp. See Eric did too.

I left with alot of stuff from him, and could have easily paid over $300 elsewhere. Got another Bi-color, a clown to mate up, star fish, scallop, flouresant green trumpet, which is hard to find now, and over 40 snails, and I almost forgot about the 48" bulb.

It was like Christmas last night.

I use a range of products including golden pearls, and Phytoplankton in a variety of micron sizes.

They are very hard to keep alive. I think Chris is right, the difference is foods that are available now.

Well it was mainly my fault. He just got them in, and they were not even in his tank for an hour when my fiance saw it, and she already told Brian to bag one up before I knew it, so since it was already bagged I took it. Then I got home late that night, with a armful of things to acclimate and introduce, so I goofed there as well. I did the too biggest no-no's on aquiring live goods

Well you learn. Flame scallops are not rare, so its not a terrible thing. If you feed your tank plenty, you can keep them alive.

Well food source has not been a problem, although my fish have become pigs. They are starting to nip at my arms now dusirng feeding time.

Food is a good question to ask. I feel a little flake food on my way out the door for work, and at night I am feeding two cubes of brine, and just a little flake food. They have actually seemed to want more lately. The flake food barely reaches the bottom before it is gobbled up. I do not want to over feed as well. Should I feed another cube at night, or feed some flake food when I get home as well.
