I was thinking about our upcoming liverock workshop and was wondering what I needed to bring.

We talked about this a little bit at our last meeting, but it will help me organize my thoughts (and hopefully, show up with what I need!!).

1. Portland Cement
2. Play sand
3. Crushed Oyster Shells
4. Rubbermaid containers

Have I forgotten anything??

Do we want equal parts cement and oyster shells??

Does anyone have an abundance of any of the first 3 materials??

I've got nothing so I would be happy to buy double oyster shells and share someone else's cement, for example.

All you have to bring is a container to make your rock in and fill it with approx. 2/3 playsand. As the playsand is just used for molding the rock, it can be the cheapy brown stuff. The reason we're having people bring their own containers is that way if they want to make a lot of rock, they won't run out of room.
