The good news is I have had water running into my tank.

The bad news is I broke a PC bulb installing it into my canopy. The even worse news is that I did something even stupider (is that a word?)

I was putting my maxi jet onto my aqua c skimmer and totally forgot to take the collection cup out and tipped the skimmer over on my lap and the cup fell out onto the hard floor! So now I've got a small piece that broke off. (picture attached)

Can it be fixed or do I have to order a new cup? Will my day get better? ;)

btw, if it's not repairable, they sell them seperately on ebay. $20 I think. I hope your day gets better, I hate those kinds of mornings. Like digging snails out of my overflow in the morning. :mad2:

I'm guessing it will be ok but I don't know exactly how it works. I bet it's ok though.

WOW Heather, your set-up is looking great. Someone did their homework. Nice woodwork too, simple but well done. Who made those?

Thanks Brandon for finding my picture LOL, you're gonna have to teach me how to put them into my posts later.

Thanks everyone too! My father n law built the stand and canopy and I stained and poly'd it. He builds houses and does wood working also.

Ok, I'm off to my lfs to buy a new bulb and see what else I can find. :)

simple stuff, when you're posting there will be a button above the dialog box labeled "IMG" if you click that you can paste the url of where the pic is located into that box and click ok. It must be hosted on the web this way. to get the url of a pic just right click it and copy the address. You'll see it place the code into your reply and you'll see the tags it places on the url, then you will see how to do it manually as well.

After a trip to both lfs', no bulb, but I did get a nice blood shrimp for my 5gal. I just finished drip acclimating it and he took to the tank just fine.

I saw the collection cups on ebay and have emailed the guy selling them to see if they have my size just in case this one ends up not working.

Jerry, it was a no go on super glue, my fingers stuck together awesomely but the accrylic just wouldn't take it. heehee

Brandon, putting those pictures from my gallery into these posts should work with what your saying right? I've tried that in the trash thread and I must still be doing it wrong. I'll keep working on it. After I click the IMG button, there's automatically a http:/ in the box, should I keep that or delete it before pasting in my url? I kept it the first time and got 2 http:'s and still no picture, tried it without and the same thing. Maybe the attachment button is my friend. :)
Gotta run, when I go to the lfs, I take other people's lists too...How'd that end up happening?

Heather, I have some weld-on #4 acrylic cement that can reattatch the broken piece. Will you be at the meeting this Saturday? If so bring it and I will fix it for you. It is very hard to find anything that will glue acrylic like weld-on.

you have to host it somewhere try photobucket.com

keeping the existing http depends on what you've got for the url. I just copy and paste right from the images properties box to the link, in that case the http is already there and the existing needs to be deleted. you only want one http in the link. i just right click and paste and it deletes the existing if it was highlighted.

just about any pic will work as long as it is on the net. Yes your gallery images will work.

you need some weldon for that cup. Mark found a plastic store here that sells it.

Hey Mark that's great news. Fill me in on the Sat get together, the "May Meeting" thread is a little confusing as to where it will be. As for any meetings, I'm 45min away from Little Rock and there almost weekly so I'm pretty much easy on timing.

And thanks Lil Salty for the site and Brandon for all your help as you can see, I'm not very computer literate.
