I am selling over 100lbs of Fiji rock which is definitely fully cured and still has some SPS encrustation on alot of the rocks, all the crabs and snails, mag7, mag 1800, little giant, 75g tank and stand, 30g tank and stand reef ready, skimmer with mag 3, sump, heater, 40g breeder tank, all electrical goodies including timers and GFCI and surges, overflow for the 75g, all the plumbing and gate valves, bunch of powerheads, extra dual VHO ballast and a number of other goodies. I would like to sell it all for $1000 or could break it down. I would have to package some of the things together like the pumps, 75g with over flow, etc...

Is the over flow far undrilled tanks is it
self starting are do you have to manually start it
if it Was to lose flow

headhawg7
05/13/2004, 09:04 AM
It self starts itself because it never looses suction.

How many snails and crabs do you have? What kind of snails and crabs? I need some of both for my 3 tanks.

you have to manualy start all of them if they lose suction jerry. I added one of those oscar aqua lifters as a backup, it had enough power to fill 2 tubes on mine. Made a nice auto started for maintenance too.

I have around 10-15 mexican turbos, a couple of Astrea, 1 tiger trochus, 15 or so scarlet red crabs, a bunch of red legs and blue legs. Probably 60 or so between the red and blue legs.

Some of them have a divider built into them for self priming
so if the water gets to low ones it comes back up they will
start up without help

I have never lost suctin with mine. I actually added a 1.5" pipe for better flow. It can handle roughly 1800-2000gph.

i think it's physically impossible for it to restart w/o aid.

The divider is to maintain a certain depth to the openings of the U-tube so that it does not come uncovered. As long as the ends remain submerged, it is physically impossible for the siphon to break w/o an outside variable. The same effect can be accomplished with a raised drain pipe if there is only one chamber.

I'm not saying theres anything wrong with this overflow, I used a lifereef ripoff and it never lost siphon either. I'm just paranoid so I added the pump for backup and the lvl controller to back that up.

So who wants to split this rock with me? I want the 75 and stand.

About 135lbs of Fiji rock all together. Very nice and good rock with ZERO bad algae. It has sponges, pods and everything in between.

The fuge is still available also. It is a 30g tall display fuge which is reef ready. It has stand and all with all pumbing and bulkheads. It is only 4 months old. Maybe 5. It is wood finished. It is a hell of a nice fuge or can be used as a regular reef ready display tank.

whats the size of a 40 breeder? Thats what you use for the sump correct? how much room is left in the stand?

headhawg7
05/13/2004, 12:46 PM
No, I use the 30g Oceanic trickle filter as the sump. The 40g breeder is seperate. It owuld be a good sump though.

headhawg7
05/13/2004, 04:28 PM

I tried PMing you but your box is full. What weight would 1/4 of your rock be and what do you want for it?

ScarFish
05/13/2004, 06:04 PM

If we can get it @ $3/lb, you want 50lbs? I could use most of the remaining, I could swing the tank and rock then.

It would be great rock to start with.

Got your PM, and tried to PM you back but you are one popular guy at the moment. Would love to go ahead with that 35 lbs of LR. Please just email me with a total and an address to send the check or money order to, whichever you prefer.

Blessings, Angela sidengland@sbcglobal.net

$3 a lb is cool but you guys have to pick it up. My PM box should be empty now. That would be $405 for 135lbs. Let me knwo as soon as you guys can. I need to pay that tax on my new car. It is freaking outrageous.

HeadHawg,

I need about 40 pounds from you, (hopefully you will have some left over). I live in Memphis and would have to plan out a trip to see you. I could do it, but can't get off work until Wed next week. We're pretty busy, and can only get one day off. Pls let me know your address and number and I'm in!!!! Thanks Rob

Heather Sanders
05/14/2004, 09:48 AM
Brandon are you up for it? I know I definitely want 50lbs, did you want to pick it all up and meet or would you rather go dutch?

Headhawg, I'm pm'ing you.

thedogofwar
05/14/2004, 10:14 AM
Do you have a deal with White Queen? She can have that 35lbs and Heather and I will split up the other 100. I'll come get it, thats NP, will this clear out the tanks? So I can get the 75/stand and the 40?

headhawg7
05/14/2004, 04:40 PM
I would love to sell it to White Queen but alot of the Rock has some crabs and all kinds pods and crustacians. I would rather it be picked up if possible but I guess I will have to wait and see. I would feel bad about leaving her hanging though. I don't want to seem like a jerk. I will ponder it this weekend and see. Did you want the sump and 40g breeder? The sump I have fits perfectly under the stand. When were you thinking of heading this way? Call me and let me know. Talk to you later, Danny

Headhawg Does the above mean that I'm out of the running for the rock?

thedogofwar
05/14/2004, 07:24 PM
Just so nobody is left hanging for the weekend, Danny won't have net access this weekend.

The rock, pumps, 75G/stand, & 40G are all sold. You know if it's yours, Sorry to those that missed out.

thedogofwar
05/17/2004, 01:39 PM
I'd love to get the tangs too but it will be a couple weeks before it's back up and running again. I'll prolly take the snails and crabs and such.
what skimmer and heater danny? LOL, I should have just bought the whole deal for that 1k afterall.

headhawg7
05/18/2004, 12:24 PM
I can sell the skimmer and heater for $60. It is a 250w or 300w I can't remember. The skimmer works very well with my setup so it should work good for yours also.

$30 sound fair for both? One is still a juvenile but has slowly started to change to adult colors over the last week or so.

i am really sorry i could not make it down this weekend but what i was planning on using for a sump just would not work so i have to build or buy a custom sump first
if you still have them in a couple of weeks i would still love to have them i just need to be ready first
and i still want the ballast for sure

thedogofwar
05/24/2004, 09:32 AM
I ended up with the fish because Danny no longer had anywhere to keep them. It was a last minute decision made for their well being.

headhawg7
05/24/2004, 04:46 PM
Yep. Did not have much of a choice. I still have that VHO ballast for you though. Does anybody need a 30g tall display refugium with matching stand and reef ready with 1" bulkhead? I still have the skimmer, mag 18, little giant and some other goodies.

lil'salty
05/24/2004, 05:18 PM
cool i was just not ready for the fish yet
and i am interested in the mag 18
i am having a custom acrylic sump made 83g so until then i am at a stand still
