Hey All,
I have noticed that I have some hair algae growing off of my rocks....are there any reef safe fish that would devour this stuff? The crabs are nibbling at it but not making any progress.
Thanks!:D

Turbo snails do a pretty good job. Astreas slightly less of a good job as do dwarf hermits. As far as fish it's hard to beat a Kole tang and yellow tangs are pretty good. Lawnmower blennies do a great job. There are many different things you can get, some work better than others and it depends on the type of hair algae. I think a lawnmower blenny would be a good choice based on rcmike and kevlouie's experience with them and also your tank size.

I second the lawnmower blenny. They have great personality. Mine literally plays with one of my cats for houyrs on end. It draws her attention, then stops moving. She attacks several times over the next ten minutes and he doesn't move. She starts to loose interest and the blenny twitches and restart cycle. It's a blast. You'll grow to love them.

Another fish that likes hair algae is a rainford gobie.
