i used to feed my hammer mysis shrimp... put it in the turkey baster and then just blast em! LOL now i dont feed them at all and they still grow like crazy! however they dont seem to be producing a lot of skeletal growth just a lot of tissue growth... kinda weird!

It turned out to be a 20gallon. Remember that you can always shorten your light duration, but not your intensity. Just trying to match the sun's natural light! LOL, there are lots of overhangs in the tank. Goto the nano forum to see my new pics of the tank with jus the metal halide on. The zoos really like it. I hope to add the rest of my live rock on friday, then add a couple "cheap" corals to the tank.

Hammer is all spoken for now. I still have frogspawn and torch. Frogspawn is green/brown. Torch is brown with white tips.

I'm looking to trade a couple smaller tanks for a larger non-reef-ready tank. I'm hoping to consolidate my little FW tanks into a 90 gal (or larger) system. Honestly, I'm still trying to convince my husband that our floor can handle the weight but thought if I could show him it wouldn't COST anything to get the tank, he might be more willing. I think the weight issue is an excuse b/c the floor is handling the 90 gallon reef ok! (The reef tank was purchased with the intention of making it FW but I got distracted....)

What I have:
29-gal long with perfecto hood, undergravel filter (if you want it), no stand

Eclipse 3 (29 gal high) with black stand, one of the 2 lights doesn't work in the hood (bad ballast? tried replacing the bulb and that didn't fix it), 2 extra new bulbs

1 10-gallon tank, no stand/lights/hood

I'm wanting to keep the powerheads/HOB filters that I have in these tanks to use in the larger tank. If you have any interest in a trade, LMK. I'm in Bloomington, btw.

if you have access to the underside of the floor in a basement or crawlspace, its prety easy and not too expensive to reinforce to the point that you could park an m1-a1 tank on the floor with no problems...i have worked construction too much in my life...

They are Hamiltons (from PA) and I LOVE them. They burn like 20,000K's for the first week then settle into a bright, crisp white with only the barest hint of blue/actinic. Then I add 112 watt of PC Actinic 03 to round it out (and it makes me happy when the MH's go out and all the corals glow).

Sweet. I much prefer trading... feels better (and I get something new) :D

I was supposed to get a 58g delivered to me today from a reefer in Chicago. He had an unfortunate accident and the tank got broken beyond repair. Now I'm left with a stand, lights and everything to set up but no box. I was wondering if anyone on here had any tanks with a 36*18 footprint they wanted to pawn off, preferably a 50 or larger.

I have two kenya tree frags for trade and one small rock with several zoos on it. The kenya tree that I have has fragged itself quite a bit so I set-up two rocks on which to start new colonies. The zoos are several random ones (7-8) on a small rock.

I would love to trade for a frag, such as a mushroom, ricordia, zoo, or other softy. I would just like to get these guys out of my tank because I have a 12 gal and don't have room for extra corals!
