Hey everybody,
Anybody local use Tunze streams? If so what do you think of them? I think rcmike has a pair that are similar to them he made from scratch.
thanks, Chris

I have seen them on some awsome looking reefs. They are nor the cheapest pumps around I will say that.

Yeah they are not cheap but they produce alot more flow than the trusty old Maxi Jets and it's not too concentrated.
thanks, Chris

I am going to buy one for my tank soon. I think I am going to get the 6110 which is a stream with a multicontroller. It allows you to get a really nice wave action. I've always heard you need 3 types of flow, turbulent, laminar and pulsing. I currently have 2 sources for laminar flow, my 600 gph return and a 950 gph mag pushin water around. It already stirs up my substrate quite a bit. I think the turbulence from the 2 interacting solves my turbulent flow issues. I may get some coarser substrate when I get my tunze. If you have any questions I would direct you to rvitko, he's the USA rep for those high quality german pumps.
