View Full Version : Predatory Nudibranch

I couldn't figure out why my bright yellow toadstool wasn't doing well. Last night I picked it up and found a predatory nudibranch on it. A picture is on page 208 of Reef Inverts by Calfo and Fenner except the one I have is bright yellow (it's obvious what he's been eating).

Anyway, the reason I'm posting is I'm having a hard time throwing it away. It's actually very pretty, but there is no way I'm putting it back in my tank. Is there anyone who happens to want it just for the cool factor or a xenia mower? On Friday I'll toss it (or fix it for a specimen) if no one wants it.

I don't have any pictures and I really don't want to ship it. I'll preserve it before I ship it. Actually, I'm feeling less and less guilty about killing it (especially when I look at my wilted toadstool).

Sorry,

Gina

Hi Gina, this is Jason. I don't want the critter, but just thought I'd drop you a note. Sorry for the problems with the yellow stool. I'm sure it'll recover. If it doesn't look like it though, be sure to frag it up to save as much as possible!

Sorry guys, I stopped checking the thread after Friday.

Jayson,

It's dead.

Jason,

The toadstool is making a recovery. I don't think I'll have to cut it up, but thanks for the advice.
