I destroyed my heater.

Well the other day I was about to acclimate a lawnmower blenny I had just bought. I pulled out my small 50 watt heater out of the sump without pulling the plug, needless to say the heater died on me.

Is there any special way that I shoud dispose of it?

Mr. Garbage would be my suggestion. you could probobly recycle the class and keep the cord for a spare.
