Deep Sea just got in a number of rose anemone priced at 60.00ea.
They appear to all clones and most likely tank raised.

Why are they so cheap there? The rose anemones are 135.00 over here in GR.

Mike,
I dunno.
Source, shipping, handling, greed??
Just thought I would pass it on.

I hear that MV Pets has a couple for 80.00

I don't mean to stick up for them when I'm not sure, but I don't think its greed. The stores that are priced higher most likely didn't find the same deal from the supplier. The other thing I know is that when Deep Sea gets a deal, their mindset is to price it low, blow it out, and draw more customers doing it.

Matt,
I have to agree with you.
I do remember a time when roses were 300.00!
Supply and demand has a way of catching up with everything.

If you come down to pick up one of these beauties do it quickly!
Call and ask Jason (club member)over at Deep Sea to hold one for you.

Chow Hound in Grand Rapids has them for $70. They are tank raised clones. I bet he would match Deep Sea's price. Then you would be supporting a store that supports us.

You would'nt expect Chow Hound to be a saltwater supplier, but I
have some nice acro colonies from there. Thanks to Scott a member and manager of the aquatic department.:D

I am very new in having an aquarium. Ive had my tank for like three months now with just a watermelon wrass and a hawk with some live rock. But in the past days I have added about 10 pounds of live rock and a new lighting fixture to my 18 gallon tank. I want to get a rose enemone with clownfish but have no clue where or what to look for. Any help would be appreciated.

First off your tank is not ready for an anemone, being it is so young in it's cycle. By the way welcome to Reef Central, If you goto the reef discusions forum you can get to a larger group of people with your question. But all would and should say that you should wait until your tank is atleast a year old and all the perameters are all fine tuned and your husbandry has been fine tuned. Although Rose bulb anemones are some of the easiest anemones to care for ther are by no means easy for a newbie not to say you couldn't do it just you have not seen the hardships of the hobby yet and with a fragile creature such as anemone you should really gain some more experiance first.

Medi,
Azurel is correct.
Purchasing one of these animals will only reuslt in a dissapointing experiece for you amd the animal. The good news is that clownfish do not need an anemone.

Here are a couple links for new reefkeepers for you to read.
