ordered myself a new light fixture for my 29g reef
400w retrofit from hello lights .com
i will be building a new canopy for this myself
i will try and post pics soon
i'm putting a 20,000k xm on it

well i am buying a small cordless circualr saw today
already have the wood
so hopefully i will have a canopy done in a couple of days
really hopping tommorrow night

well had to settel for a miter box and a back cut saw
but it works really well
any way here is a pic of what i got now

well i have made final modifications to the canopy
so now if i really need to the whole top and front will lift up and out of the way including the light
almost totall acess to the inside
way more than what i have ever been able to have
i also have done the first coat of paint
i figure i will do 2 coats then i will seal with 2 coats polyurethane
i am hoping to still be able to see the wood and grain but it still be solid black inside and out
the glowing blue controls for the fans and the fans themselves should look really sweet

well it is up and running
my tank has never looked better
my corals have brightened up instantly
also i have redone my rock work
now there is a huge "cave" where i can put low light corals if i need to
my x-mas tree worm rock is turning a green base color
i have 3 different kinds of blue zoas
and some red skirted metallic pink faced ones that have never looked better
it was well worth my time and effort
still need to put a door on the front but other than that it is totally done

well i finaly got the sump up and runnin on the 29g
now to just get rid of those pesky micro bubbles
