I will help build it. I bet it doesn't cost more than $1000 to build. The trick is finding somebody to custom cut the acrylic. I will help build one but it would need to be a bigger arch like the ones at seaworld in san diego. Would be freaking awesome.

The little town i grew up in colorado (Grand Junction) had a place that built large public aquariums. i don't know if they would even bother with a small order but here is the website. http://www.reynoldspolymer.com/ If you are looking for custom acrylic you might look into it. I do know that they built the shark tank at the Tulsa aquarium.

I was reading in the diy section that HD has it for around $140 for a 1/2" sheet of 4' X 8'. Thats a big sheet.

It was 1/2" but not positive it was HD. I can't remeber. I will see if I can find the thread.

Yeah, he states in that thread that they stock 1/8 and 1/4" but can order in a sheet of 1/2". The 1/4" is around $90 and would imagine the 1/2" would be around $140.
