from going down the overflow?

I'd be interested in hearing solutions.

Thanks,

Only the very small ones will fit down my Durso. What type of overflow are you running Ted, HOB or dirlled?

Ken,

I have a Clear for Life acrylic tank with an intank overflow. The pipe has a DLS roll around it which prevents the snails from getting to the standpipe and then into the sump. The problem is the slots into the overflow are tall and wide enough that a slug I got from David P and some snails end up in the overflow. After several times, the slug is gone. The slots are big enough that a small fish could pass thru so I'm looking to rig something to prevent that.

You could try some plastic gutter guard. I've got some I could give you so you don't have to buy the whole roll.

Ken,

Thanks for the offer. Are you going to the swap on April 3rd? I could get it from then if you are.

I'll be there at around 5:30 or so, if things go as planned. Or you can just pick it up at my place, I don't live too far from Dave's.

Ted, run down the street to Do It center, you can buy a 4' piece for like $5. its white plastic and looks almost like the teeth in an overflow. Just silicone it inside of your overflow. I may even have an extra piece in my garage I can give you when you come over today.
