we got soem hairy mushrooms for my g/f's tank and noticed what appeared to be a shell in a crevice of the rock. We didn't think anything of it, but then noticed that it was gone. We found it today, and I took a pic of it. I'm just trying to fnd out what it is. Thanks in advance.

It kinda looks obscene. I'm no identifier, but looks female to me.

It looks like epifaunal clam. But hard to tell.

I have 2 of those in my 20 and 1 in the 55. 1 of them in the 20 has a purple coil coming out of the mouth part after lights out. There is a picture(not a good 1 in my gallery).

I was thinking clam. it has small hair like appendages that come from the opening, and apparently can climb very good. Joe, if it's what you said, is it good or bad?

Squeak, I was thinking the same thing. My mind said "Um, I am not going to touch that!" and I moved on (then I came back!)

Yep, I was thinking clam too, but not as much as I was thinking female. I figured someone else would say clam so posted my other thought...
