I was in Minnesota for a business trip this week and based on some recommendations from this board visited Something Fishy before flying home. I was glad I did. I'm not sure about Minnesota but down in Florida these aren't that common:

Its doing great back in the sunshine state.

Cool! Just curious, did you bring it with you on the airplane? Was there any problem doing that? Just want to know about flying with fish/corals.

So YOU'RE the one who bought it! Glad to see it went to someone who was appreciative of the coral.

I have brought corals onto a plane before and it wasn't a problem. This was before 9/11, so I don't know if things have changed.

Derek, I think it's ok to bring them on the plane....I'd ask Greg, if anyone was 100% sure it would be him

Yeah there is no problem bringing them on the plane. In fact the flight attendants thought it was cool and let me put it in one of their storage lockers for the flight so it wouldn't bounce around.

corals are fine, so is anything else, but not into the country, then they gotta pass through customs, which is fine for regular importers, but for us little folk, your talking 4 weeks, $150 for the customs agent to inspect, and lots of phonecalls, hope it has lots of oxygen. lol. better to find a really cheap place that ships incountry.
