Is there a way to know the difference between these two similar anemone species? I've read that h.crispa has longer more mumerous tentacles than h.malu. They both have adhesive verrucae Which one has the smoother (less 'warty") base of the 2 species? I have one anemone with relatively smooth verrucae and another with a more 'warty' base. Is it likely that these are the same species, or that I have one h.crispa, and one h.malu?
If so, which is which? Both have relatively long numerous tentacles. How is h.crispa's column unique?

By the way both amphiprion ocellaris clownfish accepted them long ago as a host anemone. They constantly go back and forth from the 2 anemones. I realize that neither is a natural host anemone for them, but they do not seem to know the difference. I'd still like to know what anemone species I have in my aquarium. Both anemones have their 'foot' buried in the sand.
Please reply if you know a way to tell the difference between h.crispa and h.malu.
