Feb. Meeting at the Zoo

The Pittsburgh Marine Aquarium Society, Inc. will be having its next meeting at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. The aquarium staff will be giving us a short presentation followed by a behind the scenes tour of the facilities. You must be a member to participate, but you can always enroll that evening. Membership is merely $24 per household for the year. We will be meeting at the main gates promptly at 5:00 PM on Saturday Feb. 28th. From there we will be escorted up into the zoo property. Since this will be after closing time, if you are late, you won't be getting in. Please see our webpage for additional informaition, http://www.pmas.org/

One important note, because of the Zoo's rules regarding animals on the premises, we will not be having our usual livestock raffle, but we will still be having a drygoods raffle.

There has been a slight change of plans. We will now be meeting at the Zoo entrance at 6:00 PM. Also, some of us are going out for an early dinner before the meeting. So, skip lunch at meet us at Taipei across the river in Fox Chapel at 4:00 PM.

Yes, thank you very much it was a very informative and memorable experience. Funny thing is the thing that supprised us the most was having Rick mention that the city adds copper to the water in the summer.. We were just floored that could be a huge problem espically if you didnt' know it. Makes that trip to wall mart just to get 10 gallons of RO water on the way home from work every friday really worth it. Even though the lady there must think we are the most dehydrated people in the world :)
