Is anyone else working on one? would be nice to have something , even if temporary on our webpage....If not we can go with Scouts

As a reminder here are my two submissions. I know with all the talent out there someone can come up with something better!

I like #2 if you can ditch the purple background and just have a true oval

Sure that's not a problem, but again there has got to be some better ideas. Let's get them posted here. We must have the logo decided on next meeting. We will have a store set up where we will be able to order t-shirts, cups, mugs, etc....

If you need help with photoshop or have an idea, pm me and I'll try to help making it digital.

I say we post entries here till like 2/22,...then run a seperate thread with a poll and vote...run the poll till like 2/29...then go with it . That way we can give it to GM for the webpage , and move on with the store , etc.....JMO...anyone else?????

Just want to remind everyone that there is a limited amount of space for the logo. The current logo is 592x96 and 14kb anything larger will completely change the page layouts and probably mean I will have to completely redesign the site :( . So please keep this in mind when designing logos. Also it would help if we had access to some really nice full reef shots to work from.

So far I'm in favor of #1, the tang reminds me of a Wal-Mart welcomer saying "come on in, check it out!"

Could we do a little photo-editing on his mouth to turn that frown upside down :D

Better, but can you use a different font? Maybe it's my wild childhood, but those letters are really hard to read.

yes the one to the right with standard silver lettere to contrast the black background

I concur about the lettering, something that really stands out would be nice, but the picture is perfect! (no copyright infringment I hope :( )
