what the heck is it?!

Hi guys
Maybe yall can help me out. There is this thing on the front of my tank... i thought it was maybe a bristle worm or something but it cant be that. its like a white squiggly thing (looks like a long squggly worm) thats almost transparent.
Any ideas on what it might be?! is it bad?!

is it a string of eggs? from a snail maybe?...

yup, looks like cerith snail eggs to me. i think i've read that nobody's really had them hatch and grow up though...

correction:
mike bortner has gotten some to hatch and grow up in his tank.

it looks as though there are hundreds of baby snails in mandys tank, and along with more snail egg trails now. is there such thing as too many snails? hmmm:eek1:
