Relatively new here. Wanted to say hi to all the Wi. Reefers.

I don't presently have a tank set up but I'm working on it.

I would like to meet some locals sometime. I live near Saukville.

If you dont have a tank yet you might want to check this place out. http://www.aquaticworld.net/about.htm.

All I can say is avoid Aquatic World like the plague. It's about 5 minutes from my house. It's a dump and the people there are morons. I only shop there when I know exactly what I need, and exactly how much it costs at other places. Their livestock isn't very good for saltwater, and their live rock sucks.

I was going to buy my next tank there and nothing else. Would you reccomend buying a tank from them or not?

Just price shop before you go anywhere. I would think that if you knew about how much they were at other places, go ahead and buy from Aquatic World. There's a couple places near Milwaukee that have dirt cheap tanks. Pet Supplies Plus on Bluemound in Brookfield is cheap, and Pet Outlet Warehouse (or something like that) on Highway 100 is really cheap too. My girlfriend bought me a 10 gallon setup for Christmas from Aquatic World and they totally ripped her off and sold her the wrong stuff. It's mainly high-school aged kids working there.

I have a store here in Green Bay with pretty good prices unless I go for the 180 in which Aquatic world is a 100.00 cheaper. Thanks for the information though I will have to check are pet supplies plus. Thats where my 55 came from. They closed the store in Green Bay but there is one in Appleton about 30 miles away. Thanks again.

Not a problem. If you know that something is a good deal at Aquatic World, go for it. I'm just saying that a lot of people shop there because they don't know better, and it's the biggest LFS in the area. The do have a TON of tanks there.

Try to see if your favorite store will price match. Tell them you don't really want to buy from a crappy store, but if they can't at least come close you might have to. Support the good stores, not the ones that can't help you in the long run.

He is willing to come close when price matching, but is also offended by the research you do. I suppose I would not be happy about loss of profit myself. He is within 50 dollars on all AGA tanks except for the 180 and does not even offer the 220 on his price list. His overflow kits are a little cheaper which has to be taken into consideration on the bottomline also.
