Tampa Bay Reef club meeting is Sat. Feb. 21 at 2pm in Tarpon Springs at Triton Marine with tour and talk re: their Aqua cultured live rock from the gulf and the Keys.

Hi all, Im pretty new in the hobby and have yet to begin to set up my 20L as a reef. Im in Bradenton and would be very interested in joining up with other reefers in the area.

Well youre in the right spot. There are several of us here that are in your area. Sandman in the post above is in Bradenton, I am in North Sarasota and there are several others in Bradenton and Sarasota. Sandman has lots of things for sale, he bought a pile of stuff from someone. He has some good base rock and a 135 and 180 All Glass aquariums. Plus other goodies. Keep up with the posts and well see about a meeting place/date/time. Steve.

All I have so far is my tank! haha... Ive heard some good things about tampa bay saltwater and think I may get some live rock from them. Havent seen any really decent fish shops here in Bradenton. Suggestions?

i can give u one suggestion , dont go to jeffs. THe best place is in tampa, fish and other ichy stuff. I know its a long drive but its worth it. Have we found a host for the feb. 21st meeting?

As far as a host, I think the plan is to go with Tampa Bay Reef Club fieldtrip to Triton Marine just north of Tarpon Springs, and see their liverock wholesale setup. If I am wrong let me know. We could carpool up. We will get it together I'm sure in the future. I will host sometime soon, but right now, I am busy with several things, and front room is in the middle of putting up a new tank, and then tearing another down, once that one is stable. Maybe we can do something this coming week just to get our reef "fix". Steve

Hmm, i would host the Feb. meeting but all i have is a 30 gallon reef and a 135 that iam not sure what iam doing with yet. Plus i have never even been to a meeting so i dont really knwo hwo to host one. I could really use help on my 135 though, ideas and stuff.

I hosted the first meeting and all I have are two weanie 10 gallon tanks. ;)

If you want to learn more call Steve or me to talk about hosting, It's not that big of a deal. Also imo getting input could be helpful.

well my parents said i could host it so if everyone is ok with it so am i. I will talk to steve on how and what to do for the meeting. So iam oficaly saying that i will host the feb 21st meeting.
