Well, I tried looking into my references and I can't figure it out. What is the orientation of the photo? Is it face on, or looking down from the top? Is the white part a shell, or a mantel, or just a free swimming organism? Approximately how large is it?

Does bear a resemblance to a chiton or a snail, but that's a total guess, and I could be ridiculously wrong!

The 1st picture is the underside of the critter. In that picture, the critter is on the front of the tank.

In this picture, "it" is on the back of the tank.

Sorry the for the poor quality of the picture. While it was on the front of the tank, I looked at it using a jeweler's loop (10x). Neat looking but I still don't know what it is.....

ok, so the thing sticks to the glass like a snail would?

In the 1st pic, it's on the front of the tank so the picture is of it's underside. In the 2nd pic, it's on the back of the tank. Never seen it on the bottom, and seems more ambulatory at night. Seems to stay in 1 spot all day.
