What do you think. The way this actually looks from above is a wall in the back and a single piece in the cove.http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/4746401262004nr-thumb.jpg

It looks nice! The placement of the clam somewhat concerns me. Croceas need ALOT of light. But then again the last thing you want to do is keep moving him around. Take my advice about the clam with a grain of salt as I have tried 4 and they have all died. I can't figure out why and nobody on the clam forum can either.

Well I have him there just to get him adjusted to the light. I did not want to shock him so to speak. I may move him in a week or so. Just trying to be extra careful. I work late tomorrow if you are not in class in the am you can get that mag from me.

I'm in class tommorrow. I'm in no big hurry, maybe I can get it at the next meeting. I've got some good mag articles maybe I can get together before then for you also. Remember Croceas burrow into rock in the wild. If he attaches I would not move him. If you injure his byssal gland(by trying to remove him)it will probably kill him. People that keep clams and regularly move them put them in a shell or something they can attach to and be moved without injury.

Very good point. Moved!! I placed it as High as I can in the tank. No use in it connecting to a rock down at the bottom.

I hope he does well. Clams some of my favorite marine creatures. Maybe someday I can figure out what goes wrong with mine.

He looks like he likes it up there. If he does he should attach in a couple of days.
