anemone vs. powerhead

I feel sick I am so upset with what I discovered this morning. My new
beautiful, big, green, BTA that I was so excited about was discovered
this morning sucked into the intake of my powerhead. WHY!!!! I am
really starting to think there is a curse on my tank. I need to find a
shaman or someone to bless it or something. Now my tank is all
cloudy and my protein skimmer is doing nothing about it. I am going
to go cry some more...

Sorry to hear, I just said a prayer for you and your tank. Yes I am a shamen, and no you cant have a curse on your tank (unless you took some rock fron an anceint burial site or something): :)

Water change, BTAs do contain some nasty chemicals. I've had a few die, and thankfully I've removed them from the tank before the got to bad.

I am working on making up some water right now. But the most I can change is 18g which isn't a whole lot in a 125. Hope everyone can hold on untill tonight when i get home. the mushrooms were looking a bit piqued this morning. and of corse i only have about 1c of carbon on hand.:mad2:

Break down and go to Petsmart and buy just a plain old 29G tank. They don't cost that much, but you don't get a hood or lights. To make water, you don't need it.

Wish i could do that but I just do not have the room. Everything seems to be fine. Water was pretty much clear by the time I got home. All tests seem good too.
