We would like to announce the February 14th meeting of the Indiana Marine Aquarium Society. This months meeting will be held at the Irvington Branch Library. The general meeting begins at 1pm and will extend to 3pm. There will be a business meeting open to everyone beginning at 12:30pm and ending at 1pm. We welcome all to attend both the business and general meetings.
At the business meeting we will pass out copies of our constitution and bylaws. Also we will address the topic of our upcoming election nominations. We hope to begin the nomination and election processes in a few months.
After a short introduction the agenda for the general meeting will begin with a discussion of our online educational journal and how your input and participation is necessary for its success. Afterwards we will have an “Aquarium Problems Question and Answer session�. During this session we encourage you to describe any problems you may be having and all those in attendance will try to give you the best advice we can. Do you have an aiptaisia problem? How about flatworms? Have you lost SPS corals to rapid tissue necrosis? Does your skimmer not work like you wish it would? This is your time to get advice and hopefully find an answer from someone who has had that problem before.
We will also need to determine future meeting places and briefly go over the basics of the nomination and election processes for those that missed the business meeting. Once these issues have been attended to we’ll take some time to socialize and get to know each other.
