What is the suggested method of from you all on dosing kalk fro a remote reservoir with ro/di top off....Use a dosing pump or a float switch and powerhead?

I have my RO/DI on a float switch. Sump level drops, RO/DI gets fed, drops into kalk bucket, Kalkwasser drips into sump.

I'm not sure how much sense the pics will make, but here goes.....
This is the float switch I used. I got it from Grainger:

I put that float switch in a piece of 3" PVC pipe with lots of holes drilled in it for circulation, and caps on each end, to prevent snails and other critters from sitting on it and throwing off it's function, ala Snailman's suggestion here: http://www.hawkfish.org/snailman/diytofloat.htm
I used larger PVC to prevent the switch from dragging on the inside of the pipe:

The switch gets it's current from this doorbell transformer here:

When the switch turns on, the valve opens, feeding my RO/DI, which dumps right into my kalk bucket here:

For some reason, the doorbell transformer didn't show up in that last post. I'll try again:
