[Scout]

For all you gifted (or fustrated) artists out there, see if you can design an appropriate logo for our club. I've played with a couple of ideas and have discovered I have no talent for artwork. Please bring your ideas to the first meeting so we can vote on the winner!

(Remember to consider copyright laws)

Alright, I'm taking a break. This is still a work in progress. I really think I can do better with the text. This is the first time I've really played with text in Photoshop.

I agree the oval would look good. Just haven't got that figured out yet. I'll work on that tomorrow. I can resize to any size. I'm just making them big so we can see better.

Green mariner, no I don't mind and it looks good. It looks like you pulled the tang pic from my gallery. I took out the scratch in the glass on his side for the one I did. If we use yours, I'll send you a cleaned up version.

I was thinkin of one but have no idea how to do it, It would bascally be large outlined fat letters DRC, almost connected and the the letters filled with a reef scene , corals...kind of like this one for dnrec

Now this is starting to get fun. Made this by accident while trying to figure out JJM's suggestion on getting the coral inside the letters.

I like it , can you show a version that has DRC in a lighter color , maybe a shade of white / silver or something ,...other than that its great !

Can someone tell me what the logo will be used for? Letterhead, business cards, a web site, tee shirts, etc? I am generally more for the minimalist approach when it comes to logos, but it would be helpful to know what we're shooting for in terms of practical application.
