Great as long as you can keep the temp under control. It would be SPS and clam heaven (no religeous implications intended) =)

How would you recomend doing that instaling a fan and leaving one side of the canopy open?

I have a 175 watt on my ten gallon. I leave the back of the hood open and have a 4" fan blowing air into the hood. The temp stays pretty stable.

Mark do you have a pic, what equipment, live rock lbs?, and what corals and fish you have in there?

two 175w 10kK's and one 250W Iwasaki on my 33. So one 175 on a ten isn't too much. ;)

Sorry, no pic. I don't have a digital camera. Right now, I just have about 10 pounds of live rock, 2" sand bed and a Royal Gramma. I am planning on making this a clam and SPS reef.

I have a 175 watt coralvue 10K over my 10 gallon nano. It's not too much light and its not hot at all. I think it actually produces less heat than say 2 - 65 watt PC or one 96 watt PC.
