Hello, I am starting to piece together my first reef tank. These forums are an invaluable resource. Thanks!

Are there any good (read cheap) LFS in Orange country to buy a tank and other dry goods?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I get most of my dry goods mail order.
In the central and western part of the county there isn't much.
If I had the time and money I would open one myself:D

Some of my favorite vendors online are:
Premium Aquatics (http://www.premiumaquatics.com/)
Tridacna Reef (Adam or ADS here in HVREEF Club) (http://www.tridacnareef.com)
Marine Depot (http://www.marinedepot.com/homepage.asp)
DRs Foster & Smith (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/shop.cfm?N=2004)

That's a few of them. I always shop around. I would support a really good LFS here in Orange County, but the prices are almost always double what you would pay online. I understand why they have to charge high prices, but sometimes it's just too much.

Good luck to you and welcome!

Brian

Thanks Brian. Some folks have recommended a couple places in Bergan county NJ for tank and supplies. I think that will be a better option than trying to order 1 and have it shipped. I have book marked the sites you provided and will be refering to those once I have the tank set up.

dem86,
There is a member of the club that is selling stuff what ever you need in the Poughkepsie area. He will beat most prices out there.
e-mail me if you want his number. He has hooked up several members with dry goods.
