I found Old Castle at Wal Mart

The Wal Mart on Walbrook(walker springs) has a pallet of Old castle sand made for the Wal Mart in the garden area out front.

Dont know if it is silica or aragonite, but it is worth a look. It has orange labels

Old castle is the same company product as southdown playsand, isn't it?

Yes, it is. And it is labeled as "play sand". It would be worth someone going out and seeing what they think. I am no expert

Julie, I gave it the vinegar test earlier this summer, its silica sand.
