I'd love a Rose BTA after I move my tank and get everything up and running for alittle while again..

Mona, if you have another rose available in the future I'd be more than happy to take one. The tank has been up and running for a couple months now and doing great. The remaining clown that I originally got from you loves all the room. It's spends a lot of time in the xenia and mushrooms so I feel bad not giving it a proper home.

Dan---the anemone that I got from you has split and now both are HUGE (well, pretty big at least). Would you like it and your rock back? My roses are still all together on the same rock.

Sure, they''d look great in the tank. Also, do you think I could add another clown to keep the one I have company or would I have problems trying to add another now? I'd be around this weekend or next if any of those work for you. It'd be great to see your tanks again, might try to convince my wife to go as well.
Thanks

I think a single clown is a lonely clown. I'm pretty sure the BTA's are on two different rocks so there should be no problem removing one. Bring a big bucket! I'll pm you my phone#.

Mobert, here's your clown in the top half of the anemone. The two clowns are doing better, yours runs the show and seems to be growning quickly. My old clown occasionaly sneaks into the anemone at night but spends most of the time on his half of the tank. Everything else is doing great.

Thanks for the pic! At least the old clown is able to sneak in at night.

Another one moved off the main rock and is available for sale.

This one is maybe 8" accross when expanded. Asking $90 or $110 with nice rock.

Question: How much light do these guys need?

I have a 55g FOWLR with 60 watts (10k and Actinic)
I have a 7g Nano Reef with 32 watts 50/50

Would a Rose Anemone survive in either of those enviorments?

Lego -- I would say you need much more than you have. You can ask or do a search for many more opinions at the anemone forum. The question is asked often but I am fairly positive that even with regular feeding, a Rose would not do well under your existing lighting. Sorry. :(

Mobert- How about a 55G with 4 55w 50/50's? I can upgrade them to 65's if necessary ... let me know. Thanks.

I would agree with the FAQ above. VHO to Metal halide for anemones to thrive. 4 or 65's with the anemone up high in the tank with regular feeding is possible but borderline IMO.

brettzki---here is a thread regarding a 55 gallon:

better to wait until you have better lighting. Nothing worse that fretting over your beautiful new anemone as it is moving around the tank and shrinking.
