Wondering what everyone uses to vacuum(sp?) those tight spots in their tank?

Any DIY ideas out there?

Posting here because w/a mini it seems to be hard to clean the substrate and maneuver a large siphon around a small tank.

Thanks

Uhm, I guess I'll be first to ask...why are you vacuuming?:D If you've got critters in there like pods, mysis shrimp, worms etc and a sandbed between 1-2", there reallyl isn't any need to vacuum? Sorry, I really don't have a solution to your problem other than to not do it at all:D

Don't kill me but started this tank 12 gallon mini w/CC and have not switched to DSB.

Hehe, not gonna kill ya, it's your tank after all. But I do seriously recommend a dsb (dsb in a nano works at 1-2" for me:D) in place of the CC, it's well worth it & can be done pretty cheap. In the mean time, how about just using a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" hose to siphon, should be narrow enough, & you could control flow with a thumb over the exit hole. HTH

I have to agree with Q-ball, a dsb will save you lots of head aches in the near future.
