You should see it under the new thread option when you are at the South Florida Reef/Saltwater Aquaria (SFRA) forum. It's one heading up from this thread.

Also you can read the Announcement! Welcome Aboard! thread to see how to join the group.

Good to see more Boca people. I haven't received any more information or club news posted since the original post. I think a club in this area is a great idea. I hope the group actually forms.

Me too, I've just moved to Delray from Boca and the move has been very traumatic for my tank. I Lost 2 fish, some shrimp, a few button polyps, gsp looks horrid and now have atapasia outbreak. I only like tank raised corals so I like to buy/trade frags from other reefers.

On the bright side as soon as I set up the rest of the house I'm going to increase the size of the tank :).

I have a nano but I would also be interested in a club.

Just as an update...
My GSP is recovering. Two peppermints have taken care of the atapasia. Most of the corals are better now and have slowly started growing.

:mad2: The peppermints have started eating one of my corals. It is a hithiker that I have been helping since I first found it. It's like a year old and damn.... half of it's been eaten. I know it was one of them, I just finished beating him off it.

They are not as well behaved as my last two mints. They are soooo going back to the lfs.

Oh yeah, they did take care of all the atapasia. They did seem hungry but, if already fed them twice today.

I have removed the offender and all is well now. :)

I guess this did get a bit off topic. so.... does anyone know what's happening with South Florida Reef/Saltwater Aquaria (SFRA) club.

Not that I've heard of. If you know of one then let me know, if it's close enough I'll stop by.

My bad, it is the florida reefers guild that is having the swap.

I wonder if we could combine the two groups? They are meeting in fort lauderdale after all.

I've never been to one so I am not the one to ask. If my wife is feeling well I plan to go. I don't have anything to swap. Do people sell frags at these meets?

I hate to say this. But are they really having a swap. The date on that is Feb. 9, 2002? I used to follow them but it seems like they are not doing anything anymore.

You should try the FMAS meetings. They meet at IGFA in Dania. Right off of I-95. You can go to their sit on this forum under clubs.

Actually I belong to the FMAS as well. I went to one of the frag swaps last year and joined. I did get one of the newsletters as well. This was my first and only frag swap so far, it was very interesting.
