Hi Folks,

Maybe you can give me the information I am curious about, or direct me to somebody who would know.

My wife has a tank of "Borneo Suckers" (little pleco-like fish).

How common is successful reproduction in captivity for these guys? My wife just discovered 3 babies in her little 12 gallon Eclipse tank..... :D :D

Thanks for any information.

:D

I've had a few of these little guys in the past but have never heard of anyone successfully breeding them in the home aquarium. Here is a very basic article on them. Hope it helps a bit:

Hi,

Thanks for the link.

She has 5 adults, and now at least 3 juveniles. The babies are about the size of and adult brine shrimp. Our guess is that they hatched sometime in the last week or so.

She saw what appeared to be spawning behavior seveal times over the past 6 weeks, so maybe she will get more...
