I want to add
2 tomato clown and a bubble tip
Hippo tang or blue damsel--- some blue fish

Can I support that with what I have?

Here is my setup, please feel free to offer advice.
65 gallon AGA with AGA stand and home made canopy
175 watt MH pendant
10 gallon sump
Berlin protein skimmer--
Does not seem to working as well as it used to. I think there is a crack where the air stone is from me over tightening the connection.
heater
DIY auto top-off of RODI water from AQUA FX
Home Depot 5 gallon plastic gas container--Should I put Kalk in here?
15 gallon refugium
50 lbs of Southdown play sand
red tang heaven from www.ipsf.com
amphipods from www.ipsf.com
100 lbs of live rock
200 lbs of live sand --is this too much?
Livestock
Large Yellow tang
Royal Gramma
Cleaner shrimp
Peppermint Shrimp
Bubble Coral
Leather coral

The Tomato Clowns and Bubble Tip should be fine but I wouldn't add the Hippo Tang as your tank in my opinion isn't even big enough for the Yellow Tang that you already have.

As for Blue Damsels, I haven't had luck with them for two reasons:

1) They are very aggressive.

2) They are nearly impossible to remove from your tank.

I will try and think of a suggestion of something else to add in the place of the Hippo or Damsels and post again.

How deep is 250lbs. of sand in your 65g tank?

The tang was a bad decision on my part. The sand is more like 150 lbs to 200lbs and it is about 6-7 inches deep(I just remembered how much I bought. I plan to get a 120+ gallon some day and then I can make use of all of that sand.

Also can I make more room for the fish if I put some of the live rock in the sump and refugium?

Hi frivera28, <img src="http://www.reefcentral.com/images/welcome.gif"><br><b><i><big><big>To Reef Central</b></i></big></big>

I agree that your tank is too small for most tangs.
Here is a great book about marine fish (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1890087386/reeflink/) that everyone should have.

could I add some green chromis?

you could if you removed the tang. try trading the tang in for a smaller one. yellow's are usually avialble around the 2" size. the 2" fish would be much happier than your "large" one. BTW, how "large" is it?

most will give about 1/2 retail, or roughly what they pay wholesale - if it's healthy looking.

Try a neon goby instead of the damsels. Hardy, low aggression, more entertaining (IMHO), very blue. Green chromis are a little plainer, but less risky, and they school.

"Home Depot 5 gallon plastic gas container--Should I put Kalk in here?"

I'd try it, my tank did much better after I started autodossing kalk.
