Hey Guys,

I spoke to Jorge from ReefTek the other day, and he is willing to give us a discount for a group buy on Ca Reactors. Since I am in the market for one, this would be a great opportunity. Here is the deal :

5% off if 3 to 5 reactors ordered
10% off if 6 to 10 reactors ordered
15% off of everything (CA Reactor and CO2 equipment) if 11+ orders.

So what do you guys think? ReefTeks are like GEO clones, but at half the price. LMK what you think.

Very Nice Chris, those look like regular Home Depot parts! I would build my own, but I really don't know where to begin. I've read alot of threads on RC about DIY CA Reactors, but am still a bit confused on where the ins and outs are and where the tubes go

I don't have any plans, I just used what was available locally, but I could try to put something together if people are interested.

Here's a pic of the kalkreactor I made as well - same deal...

They were both easy to make and cost a fraction of a commercial unit. Not real pretty, but they work well.;)

BTW, I've since changed out those plastic hose barb fittings for John Guest speed fittings on both reactors. Those little fittings are pricey, but worth-it for the added convenience IMO.

Killer DIY Chris. If you ever get a chance to make up some plans I would like to get some. Thanks a lot!

Things are a bit hectic now (for all of us, I'm sure) but after the holidays I'll try to put some drawings together on AutoCAD - maybe a few pics and text too. Maybe I can bring something to the next meeting.

BTW - sorry for the hijack Rebels...;)

Hey Guys,

To make things simpler, I will only be posting in one place for this group order now, over at the LIRA Forum :
