I picked up a Paper Shop yesterday. There's a 265g with "too much to list" for sale for $2500.00 OBO. It's in Tannersville, (570)629-1247 or (570)977-4169.

It wouldn't hurt to call (duh), but at that price I wouldn't worry about someone snatching it up. It may well be worth 5000, but not many people around here have 2500 laying around. I got my 240 for less than a grand. If it something like a starfire with 1600W of MH and a calc reactor that's a different matter. I'd call and ask for particulars (also ask how long it's been posted - I think that was listed a while back) and unless it is spectacular, leave your number for "when the price is more reasonable" or "if you get stuck" (heehee).
Drop me an email.

PS Glass or acrylic? Reef ready? Drilled?

With my limited water supply, I'm not sure my well could even keep up with top-offs. I am sticking with Plan A (120g RR) for now and unless someone has one for sale within the next 2 weeks, I may bite the bullet and get a new Oceanic. Best price so far (obviously) is at TFP in Lancaster. Local shops are $250.00 more with a stand but maybe they'd match the price. I like to keep it local when I can. ;)

Maybe I'll just move to the city. If I bring my tank, can I move in with you? :D :D :D

Sounds good. We can use your skimmer.

OK, my curiosity got the best of me and I called. The setup has NO live rock but does have other equipment that we probably would not want---mechanical and biological filters, a Merlin skimmer and two other skimmers (not Euroreef---I asked), some actinic lighting, etc. He wants to sell as a package.

He's going to be VERY old before he gets 2500 for that.

PS It might be a typo, but that'd be a Berlin skimmer.

No typo, but he did say "Merlin." I guess he doesn't even know what he has (couldn't ID the other skimmers) but said he had $4000.00 "invested." It's too big for me anyway, but he made it clear that he would entertain offers. It's 2 years old. ;)
