M.A.R.S. Christmas party

December 19th is the Christmas party!! The club will be providing the food and beverage, and everyone there will be entered into a drawing for LFS gift certificates. There will be a small gift exchange ($10 limit) if you wish to participate. It's been known to get pretty rowdy in the past, so be ready for someone to try and steal away the gift you choose. Please e-mail at thereefgeek@yahoo.com if you plan to attend so we can get a head count for the food. Since our club has grown to 80+ members, we'll have it at our usuall meeting location.

My Fiance and I were planning on attending the MARS meeting this month for our first visit. We are not members but are interested in joining. We didn't know it was not a typical meeting this month. Is it ok for us to come even though you are having a party and not a meeting?

I'm not a member yet, but I plan on attending. I'll be heading up by the place tonight so I know where I'm going tomorrow. :D

By the way, that membership application on the site still isn't working for me. I stopped by Capitol Aquarium the other day to see if they still carry the application, and I got a bunch of weird looks. (I know they were there at one time.. I really do. I think they were on green paper.)

Exotic Aquarium has them? I didn't know that. Then again, I haven't been there in a long time. I fear going long distances with my car. I'm even scared to bring my car to this meeting, so I'll be driving my grandfather's truck... :D

i attended the xmas meeting and it was my first one ever. had a good time sitting back and observing the gift exchange. some guy even brought some frags but i didn't get a look at them. the club has a lot of potential.

Sorry for bugging you Rich (about the halides). I was talking with Larry about MH parts. for some reason I always think his name is Rich...DUH!!!!

Were you looking to sell the 175w parts? Do they work?

I am planning to setup a 30g frag grow out tank and was going to use a 250w but if the 175s are separate I could use 1 on the frag tank, and 1 on my 20g nano tank.

Yeah, I was there. I brought a friend with me, and she didn't feel well, so we left before the meeting started. I plan on staying the entire meeting next time. :D

Yeah, sorry I was so early. We ate at Carls Jr, I didn't know what else to do, so we decided to go to the meeting early. Sorry we cut in on your 'official business' and stuff. We weren't listening, I swear! ;)

But next time I come, I know not to come that early. I just had no idea what to do, and my gas tank was empty, so I couldn't cruise around.
