Mike,
I have noticed you have been looking at quite a few lighting options for MH recently and I just got a new Marine Depot catalog that had the following set-ups listed and thought I would forward them here for you for comparison.
MH ballast kits: includes enclosure, switch, cords, mounting bracket and mogul socket.
175 watt $95 250 watt $105 400 watt $129
these are assembled ballasts.

MH DIY kits that include bare magnetic ballast (including capacitor), mogul socket w/ mouting bracket and bulb.
175 watt $94 w/ 5,500k bulb
250 watt $119 w/ 6,500 k bulb
400 watt $124 w/ 6,500 k bulb
Just the ballast and mogul are: 175= $75, 250=$85, 400=$109

I hope this helps you when looking for some deals, Skip
