upgrade lights for 650?

Hey all-
I was thinking about upgrading the lights on my 650.
It currently has 6 Hamilton 150w halides over the top.
I feel that I could have better light toward the bottom of the tank.
The tank measures 136"L x 30"W x 36"H

I was considering changing 3 of the 150's to 400's
and supplementing with actinic vho's

I even considered a couple 1000w on light tracks...
is this a bad idea?

I'm leaning toward the 400 upgrades with the actinics.

Any suggestions?

I have a 450 with three openings, I'm running3 1000's on a standard ballast. they are about 40-50 % brighter then 400's. I have sps on the sand bed that get good growth.

From looking at the picture of your tank, I would go with 250 watt MH on lumenarc3 reflectors. They are currently available from:

They are expensive, but worth their weight in gold.
