Hi all,
I work in a school district and for "the greater good" they have just installed a "spam filter" on all email. Their notice of it's start today included an address to write to if you wanted to "opt out" of the filter. Well, I emailed asking to "opt out" and got a very curt email back saying "you can't". Even worse, since then I have received ZERO email. I can send myself email, but that's going to and coming from the same server. If anyone out there is so inclined. please send an email to me (no need for anything IN the email) at lgeguzis@oak.kcsd.k12.pa.us
Then please post in this thread that you sent one, so I can tell the IT people what's going on tomorrow.

Thanks to all for the help. I guess it's working. Just odd that I didn't receive anything for 6 hours (right after the admin's letter).

Thormor - I'm supposed to report anything I wanted, but *didn't* receive because of the filter. How am I to do that?

So it wasn't just our server. Our computers at work were HORRIBLE! It felt like I went back in time to 1993 and had a 6500k modem. That was only when it ACTUALLY worked. Most of the day I couldn't even get online.

you would email the system admin and they would take a look at what is being filtered out. I suggest they use spam cop but oh well, anyway when you tell him he'll look and change it. Like if you aren't getting reefcentral notifications or ebay emails etc etc he'll modify the blocking software so those can get though from those ips.
