My Boss bought bought a tank

Help me out...I kind of know how to do SWFO, but I forgot.

He said he's got a canister filter, a power filter and lights. It's a 30G Hex. He wants Fish Only.

What kind of stuff does he need so I can tell him the right way to do it and not screw it up...

Of all things, I forget how to setup up FO. I could do Reefs all DAY!! LOL

I think it all depends on what he wants to keep. Most of the time people stay away from tall hexs because of low surface area, so I would either add a bubbler, a powerhead near the surface or a spraybar to break up the surface and get the gas exchange going. Most fish like to have hiding places so don't forget to provide some. Is the canister filter an Ehiem? they are actually really good units. You might also consider trying to get a skimmer in there as it will oxegenate the water and provide better water quality. Other than that test kits, test kits, test kits. Also I don't know if he has considered a fish only with live rock but if you can get him interested in that I would add some really nice liverock and some good quality livesand. I think it looks more natural that way but it does screw up your ability to run copper in the system.
