With some of the larger set ups people have, I have been finding that some people also have some "large" equipment to go with it. I saw a quad beckett skimmer that was 5 feet tall with 10" or 12" diameter tubing. That was a monster.

My Ca reactor is huge by most standards, but it was a custom job. Here is a picture or two. By the way, I am 5'7" tall.

I just wanted to see some other monster equipment.:D :D :D

Here is another with it installed. It took a full bucket of IO salt with crushed coral to get the media level to where is at. :eek1:
Sorry, forgot the picture.

I just built a dual chamber calcium reactor out of 4" pvc, 36" tall. Holds 40 lbs of crushed coral. I'd post a pic but it is ugly!!! It works, but ugly!

Andy:

You must post a picture!!! I have been drooling over a modified version of the quad skimmer you have. My own modification of course. Not enough extra moolah laying around to justify the purchase right now though:( :(

How about a 360g sump buried in the ground ?

My Calcium reactor is not noteworthy, but I do have a 9g Kalk reactor.

And I think my utility bill from the DWP is one of the biggest..... :)

If I can count this, as soon as its finish being built a will have a solar array thats:

8 panels wide/10 panels tall which is:
about 43ft long
about 14ft high
and about 24ft front to back

Im putting it in to basically cover the cost of operating this tank in good ol So. Cal.

Can I count the $100k plus house addition for the tank? Or can I just count the 8' light rack or the 120 gallon sump or the 150 gallon refugium or the 500 gallon tank or maybe the big gaping hole in my wallet.

One other thing to add - the huge hole I must have in my head to think that I can get a new Lab puppy, a house addition, a new baby and a new tank all within a couple months.   :rolleye1:
