This is my current idea... I'm using a 3/8" thick tube I got from my LFS which almost fits perfectly inside the powerhead... and no the pictures aren't the correct size :p

The powerhead is a micro-jet MC450 which has a way of adjusting the flow, the lowest being 47 gph, 79 gph, and finally 117 gph. Think 117gph is enough? Or here's my 2nd idea.

Using the same powerheads, I can get twice the flow, or adjust one... having both at 79 gph would create 158 gph. Or is that overkill?

My new 7G is still in the garage with the black paint drying so I haven't set it up yet to see. Suggestions welcome. ;)

Oh yea i'm also wondering if I should place the powerhead near the top of the water? While it might make it more noticable and unsightly, the microjet is REALLY small. Plus the advantage to that is I can have the spraybar shooting in more directions without the LR in its way....

Chris,
Both of those look like good ideas. What i did was connect a 1 inch piece of PVC to a maxijet 600 and placed it horizontially in the back corner of the tank. It really puts out the current. I also placed a small power filter on the back of the tank (300gph) I think. In the near future I plan on placing my prizm skimmer on the nano and removing the power filter.
