I just introduced 4 of these guys to my 94 gal lagoon...they all took up residence within an 8" by 4" area diectly in front of the glass, and I've fallen hopelessly in love!!
They seem very comfortable...they spend alot of time out, and are feeding well. Two of them are sharing one burrow, and I'm wondering if it's love...Please tell me more about mating, and raising the babies!! I know they love designing with pebbles and shells...how about pretty glass beads?!
Any Info Appreciated!!
Thank you,
India

I've never tried raising these guys but can offer you some observations from watching them in the Caribean. Typically I've seen them in stretches of sand in between coral heads in fine sand sediments with pieces of coral rubble used to buttress the burrow. The male mouthbroods much like Bangai cardinals do. The fry I've seen tend to be small, around the size of clownfish fry upon hatch. I would suggest looking up Joyce Wilkenson's book on Clownfish and following those fry rearing directions as a start.

As for the glass beads, you'll just have to try it and let us know ;)
